Inspiration & Symbolism
“Thirst” begins not with paint, but with a scene.
In front of an untouched white canvas, a glass of red wine is placed.
Within the space around it, two bodies -caught in intimate tension are reflected as shadows on the surface.
The glass becomes a symbol of thirst -
not only physical, but emotional:
a longing for closeness, touch, and connection.
A female hand reaching toward a male body.
Movement, paused for a moment.
Gestures that speak not of action, but of state.
The painting preserves this instant -
the silence and charged energy that exist just before touch.
